Women’s World Day of Prayer
This global event started in 1887 in the U.S. and is now celebrated annually in over 170 countries on the first Friday in March. The movement aims to bring together mainly women of various races, cultures and traditions in a yearly, common day of prayer.

5 churches in our area join together for this event. Last year it was held here at CMC and this year its being held at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Mansel Way, on Friday 6th March, 1.30pm. It lasts about an hour, and usually includes a group of girls from St. Laurence’s RC primary school. The 2015 service has been prepared by women from The Bahamas!

Thursday Fellowship
The next meeting will be on 26th March at 2.30pm. Phyllis Salmon from Haslingfield MC, will be our speaker.

Mothering Sunday
Preparations are in hand for our celebration of Mothering Sunday – it’s one of the special days of the year and a great opportunity to invite friends & family to church.  Look out for the flyers and consider inviting someone to come!

Looking Ahead – Holy Week & Easter
There will be more reminders for Holy Week & Easter coming soon but remember that we have some special activities on Good Friday where we join with friends from St.George’s and St. Andrew’s – starting here at CMC at 11.20am.  Friday 3rd April.

Other activities & groups using the premises include:
Mondays - Chesterton Choral Society, 7.30pm
Tuesdays - ‘Little Music Makers’ & ‘Foodbank’
Wednesdays - ‘Coffee morning’ from 9.30am, Girls Brigade from 6.30pm
CamSight – supporting local people with sight loss – use the premises regularly
