Memories of Chesterton Methodist Church

This page is dedicated to everyone wishing to share their memories of CMC.

Carol Burton  revisiting her fond memories:

" I visited the Church in October 2016 as I wanted to revisit a very special place to me. Your church is a church where I have fond memories of visiting as a child and later in adulthood when I visited my grandparents and great Auntie and Uncle who lived in Cambridge and were supporters of the church for many years.

My grandparents are Norman and Eva Kirkbride and my grandmother's brother was Jesse Brown and his wife, Grace.

Norman played the organ at the church for 40 years, Jesse ran the Boys Brigade. Grace and Eva helped out in many ways - coffee mornings, bazaars(do we still call them this?!) and all activities. Ian showed me the 2 chairs dedicated to Grace and Jesse. "
